A web application for managing a personal or home library: catalogue your books, organise them into categories and track loans. Everything works in the browser, including on your phone.

Yes, it is free. In return, your library is public by default — the books you enter can be seen by other visitors. If you want a fully private library, that is possible by arrangement (write to us via the Contact page).

In several ways: enter an ISBN or title, scan the barcode or colophon with your phone, enter a COBISS ID, or add the book manually. The details are filled in automatically.

Metadata (title, author, year, description) comes from Google Books, Open Library and COBISS. Cover art also comes from Amazon when other sources have none.

Yes. Point the camera at the barcode (EAN/ISBN) on the back cover and the system reads it automatically. If the book has no barcode, take a photo of the colophon (the page with the ISBN or COBISS), and the system extracts the identifier from the image.

Yes. For each book you can record to whom and until when you lent it, and later mark it as returned.

By default it is public — it gets its own public link where anyone can view your books. You decide which contact details to show. A fully private library is possible by arrangement.

Yes. You can import an existing list of books via a CSV, XML or JSON file (the title field is required; author, year, isbn, asin, cobiss_id, signature, pages, description and notes are also supported), and you can export your library at any time in CSV, XML or JSON format. By arrangement we can also import data from other existing digital formats — write to us via the Contact page.

You can permanently delete your account yourself in the profile settings once your library is empty (remove all books first). If you have trouble, write to us via the Contact page.

Just a valid email address. After registering you receive a confirmation message to activate your account.

For a single book, or in bulk for many books at once, you can request category suggestions. The system sends the book details (title, author, year, description) together with your existing list of categories to the Claude language model, which returns the three most relevant categories from your own list. You then confirm the suggestions yourself — nothing is filed without your approval. The AI only suggests from categories you already have and never creates new ones. This feature is available to accounts with advanced (AI) features enabled.
